IS THE BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE A MUD RACE?

NO!!! The BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE is NOT a MUD RACE or just a collection of obstacles scattered about. The Brutal Fitness Challenge is a uniquely designed physical fitness course created by a 3rd Degree Black Belt Martial Artist, who also is a Fitness Trainer. The BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE is a 3 - 7 mile course with 20+ obstacles on it that will require your Strength, Endurance, Balance, Agility, and Your All Out Grinding Capabilities!!!. It’s an event of pure excitement that you’ll never forget!!!

 

WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL ABOUT A MILLION PLUS WOMEN?

BEAUTY is the Big Deal, and we know WOMEN will provide the BEAUTY we need at our events no matter how Brutal the events are. Our events typically have more men who attend than women, so we are on a mission to attract 1 MILLION PLUS WOMEN to our challenges. We want the Ladies to know this is not just for the guys. We know our events will become a lot more attractive in a multitude of ways with the special appeal that only the LADIES can bring. HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE?

WHAT DO I GET FOR REGISTERING AS A PARTICIPANT?

EACH REGISTERED PARTICIPANT WILL RECEIVE:

  • BFC Finisher T-Shirt (...when you finish)

  • BFC Custom Finisher Medal (... when you finish)
  • BFC Signature Towel
  • Recovery Smoothie (... when you finish)
  • Bib and Chip Timing
  • Access To The BFC Commemoration with Food to Purchase and Music

Your Finisher Shirt and Medal will be provided if and when you complete the course (without disqualification)! BFC does not give finisher gear if you do not finish.  In some cases, Finisher T-Shirts will not be handed out directly at the finish line; please make sure you locate the Finisher T-Shirt booth before you leave to collect your shirt.

THERE IS NO BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE IN MY AREA, HOW DO I DEMAND IT?

Visit BRUTALIZED MY AREA and fill out the form to Demand to be put on our Brutal Fitness schedule. If the Demands are high, we will come to your area! So get your family, workout partners, co-workers, friends, etc. and let your DEMANDS BE HEARD.

 

HOW IS THE BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE STRUCTURED?

Participates will be released in waves. Waves will have about 250 people and will start every 15 minutes to prevent back-ups at the obstacles. The most popular waves are 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. and they often sell out quickly. We encourage our competitive participants to sign up for the 7 AM through 8 AM waves so as to avoid interference from the less competitive participates. Your assigned wave time will be e-mailed to you within 5 to 7 days of the event. Please arrive 90 MINUTES prior to your wave start time to allow yourself time to Check In, Warm Up, Calm Your Nerves, and Be At The Starting Line 15 Minutes Prior To The Release Of Your Wave. We always do our utmost to never split teams up and accommodate your wave preference, but in rare cases you may be assigned to an alternate wave. 

 

HOW DO I GET MY WAIVERS, BIB NUMBERS, AND PACKET FOR MY CHALLENGE?

Downloadable Waivers can be found by clicking HERE. We will be adding downloadable PDF files to the Packet Pick-Up page that will include information on what you need as the event gets closer. We usually start posting extra files about 1 to 2 weeks before the challenge. Please visit the Packet Pick-Up Page as often as you can for Updated Event Info. 

 

WHAT TYPE OF OBSTACLES ARE AT THE BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE?

WHERE CAN I FIND A COURSE MAP?

No course maps are available, and your GPS can’t help navigate you through our course. There will be ground signs and posted signs to help navigate you in the right direction. Get yourself prepared for the unfamiliar.

 

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE CHALLENGE?

Your completion time will depend largely on your level of fitness. The lowest average completion time is 50 minutes. Your completion time is of no concern to us. We just want you to cross that finish line and throw your hands in the air no matter how long it takes you to complete the course.

 

HOW CAN I INCREASE MY FITNESS LEVEL FOR THE CHALLENGE?

In order to help prepare you for the challenge, we will be offering training sessions called BRUTAL FITNESS WORKOUT SESSIONS. The sessions will be available on a First Come First Serve Basis, so if you are aiming to increase your fitness level grab a session. You will be glad you did.

 

WILL PHOTOS BE TAKEN OF ME WHILE I’M ON THE COURSE?

There is a possibility  your photo as well as video of you will be taken. We will have photographers as well as video cameras throughout the course and they will be documenting memories of the event. What we can’t do is guarantee that there will be a breathtaking photo or video of you, or even a photo or video of you at all. If you want to be sure your memories are preserved you should bring along your own photographer.

 

HOW WILL I KNOW HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO CONQUER THE COURSE?

We will provide chip timers.

 

ARE GOPRO CAMERAS ALLOWED?

Unquestionably!!! Bring your GoPro and let the world see how you battled the course and Won. Please make sure your GoPro is strapped securely to your body or helmet while you are on the course. Remember the Brutal Fitness Challenge will NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for any damage, loss, or retrieval of any items.

 

DO I HAVE ANY CANCELLATION OPTIONS?

Unfortunately cancellation is not an option. As set forth in our TERMS and CONDITION, which has to be agreed to by each participant during the registration process, we do not have any cancellation options. However, you may change your event date, time, and location, or you can transfer your registration to another person.

 

All requests must be submitted prior to the Transfer & Registration deadline which will be at 11:59 P.M. EST on the April 8, 2017; please note that all packets are completed on the week prior to the deadline. If your transfer is made on that week, please bring a copy of your confirmation email and inform our packet pick-up staff about the change.

 

Transfers will be accepted via email up until 11:59 P.M. EST on the Monday prior to the deadline. Please submit your transfer request via email to info@brutalfitnesschallenge.net.

 

Either the current registration owner or the person with their name on the registration may transfer their registration to another participant. The registration owner is the individual who purchased the original registration(s).

 

All transfers to another event or person require a transfer fee of $5 plus paying the registration fee at the full current registration price. All transfers between Saturday and Sunday of the same event or transfers between wave times of the same event are free of charge. All transfers can be completed by CONTACTING US. 1Get Trained Athletics reserves the right to change the transfer fee at any time.

 

Participants have also had success selling their registration(s) on eBay, Amazon, Craigslist, or posting their registration(s) to our Facebook page. If you are selling your registration(s), you will need to email us at info@brutalfitnesschallenge.net and authorize the transfer to the new recipient, or the new recipient will not be able to pick up the packet on site. Brutal Fitness Challenge does not take any responsibility for transactions made between third parties.

 

IS TIMING A THING OF THE PAST?

No not at all. We will continue to supply timers so each participant can see how long it takes to complete the course. Each challenge you should try to improve your time.

 

DOES THE BRUTAL FITNESS HAVE A LOST AND FOUND?

We do not have a lost and found per say, but after each event is over we check the course, as we are breaking down our obstacles, for items that might be of importance to someone. If you think you have lost or left something on the course please, CONTACT US with a description of what you think you might have lost or left on the course, and if we have it we can make arrangements to get it back into your possession. If we find any IDs we immediately mail them out.

 

IF I LOST OR NEVER RECEIVED MY CUSTOM GOLD MEDAL CAN I RECEIVE A NEW ONE?

Regrettably we are unable to ship any medals, but next year just illustrate your DOMINATION and prove to everyone you were not exaggerating when you said you lost your Custom Gold Medal!!

 

SHOULD I EXPECT ANYTHING TO BE SENT TO ME PERSONALLY?

Yes you should. The last Tuesday or Wednesday prior to the challenge we will send all participants an e-mail which will include all information regarding parking, venue specifics, event day preparations, and more if necessary.

REGISTRATION

IS REGISTRATION POSSIBLE BY MAIL OR PHONE?

Unfortunately it is not. The only way to register is online. If you are having any online registration issues try opening the web page in a different browser. If you are still having issues please click CONTACT US and we will clear up any issue(s) you may have. Also please make sure your browser has cookies enabled.

 

WHAT WILL IT COST ME TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE?

The cost to enter the challenge will be listed on the pricing table located on the REGISTRATION PAGE. The prices listed on the pricing table are per person.

 

IF I CANNOT ATTEND CAN I GET A REFUND?

Regrettably all registrations for our events are non-refundable. We recommend you try and transfer your registration to someone that would like to participant in the challenge. Just CONTACT US with your potential participant's, name and email address, and we will send an email invitation to them. Your potential participant will be responsible for paying the registration at the full current registration price. Once the potential participant has accepted the invitation and entered the payment information, the original participant will be fully refunded their original entry fee, minus a $5 transfer fee. Please note that all transfers must be made by the close of online registration. Transfers after that time must be done on the day of the event, and it will cost you $20.

 

CAN I TRANSFER MY REGISTRATION TO SOMEONE ELSE?

Absolutely, you can transfer your registration to someone else. Just CONTACT US with your potential participant's, name and email address, and we will send an email invitation to them. Your potential participant will be responsible for paying the registration at the full current registration price. Once the potential participant has accepted the invitation and entered the payment information, the original participant will be fully refunded their original entry fee, minus a $5 transfer fee. CAN I CHANGE MY WAVE TIME, AND HOW WILL I KNOW MY NEW WAVE TIME?

You can absolutely change your wave time, but only if the desired wave you want is not sold-out. Before the final day of registration you can CONTACT US to change your wave time, team name, t-shirt size, etc. Your new wave time will be listed in your confirmation email we will send you. 

 

WHAT CAN I DO IF SATURDAY’S REGISTRATION IS CLOSED?

We are sorry, but there is NOTHING you can do once a challenge day is closed. Our challenges are listed and promoted several months before the challenge takes place, so once a challenge day is sold out that is it. When the wave becomes password protected, that means the wave is not available to any more challengers. All the spots in the wave are accounted for and we can not give out the passwords.

 

I CANNOT DO THE CHALLENGE BECAUSE I AM INJURED, CAN I GET A REFUND?

Unfortunately Not. All registrations for our events are non-refundable. You may transfer your registration to someone else or see if you can transfer to another challenge.

 

I REGISTERED ALREADY AND FOUND A DISCOUNT CODE CAN I USE IT?

Regrettably a discount code can not be retroactively applied to an existing registration.

HOW WOULD I KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY OPEN WAVE TIMES?

Click REGISTER, and choose the day you would like to attend. On the form click "Select Wave Start Time", and it will display the open wave times. 

 

HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHEN THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS?

Go to the REGISTRATION PAGE, and it will have the deadline for registrations listed. Once an Event has Sold Out, It Is Out.

 

CAN I TRANSFER MY BIB NUMBER TO ANOTHER PERSON?

Absolutely, you can transfer your BIB Number to someone else. To transfer your BIB Number to someone else is the same as transferring your registration to someone else. CONTACT US with the person's name and email address, and we will send an email invitation to them. The individual will be responsible for paying the registration at the full current registration price. Once the individual has accepted the invitation and entered the payment information, the original participant will be fully refunded their original entry fee, minus a $5 transfer fee. Please note that all transfers must be made by the close of online registration. Transfers after that time must be done on the day of the event, and it will cost you $20.

CAN I TRANSFER TO ANOTHER EVENT NEXT YEAR?

Absolutely!!! You are able to transfer your registration to any Brutal Event currently listed on our Website. If we do not have a Brutal Event listed in your area for next year, please check our Website to see if there is another location near you. Once you find one please click HERE to complete the transfer. We can not guarantee that we will be returning to your area, but our plan is to return each and every year. All transfers between event locations are subject to a transfer fee plus any difference in price.

 

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO HAVE A NEW T-SHIRT?

Absolutely! We will gladly send you a new limited edition participant t-shirt. The shirt will cost you $25 and the shipping fee will be $5, so click HERE to place your order.

 

WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY THE $10 PARTICIPANT INSURANCE FEE?

The $10 participant insurance fee is a mandatory fee for all participants, and must be paid at the time of registration. It is non-transferable and non-refundable.

The $10 insurance charge incurred upon registration accounts for your contribution TOWARD the costs associated with the ACCIDENTAL MEDICAL insurance policy procured by 1Get Trained Athletics, Inc. FOR THE EVENT.

1Get Trained Athletics, Inc. purchases participant accident medical insurance coverage WHICH PROVIDES LIMITED COVERAGE TO participants UNDER SOME CIRCUMSTANCES for medical bills arising from an injury suffered/obtained while participating on site at a 1Get Trained Athletics, Inc. event. 

 

Please note that the accident medical insurance coverage does NOT include Disability Insurance or Loss of Income coverage. Further, any and all claimants will be required to complete certain forms and provide copies of all medical records. NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, PARTICIPATION IN THE BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE IS AT THE PARTICIPANT'S SOLE RISK. HOW DO I MAKE AN INSURANCE CLAIM, IF I SUSTAINED AN INJURY WHILE AT AN EVENT?

1Get Trained Athletics, Inc. purchases participant accident medical insurance coverage WHICH PROVIDES LIMITED COVERAGE TO you as a participant UNDER SOME CIRCUMSTANCES for medical bills arising from an injury suffered/obtained while participating on site at a 1Get Trained Athletics, Inc. event.  The coverage requires a $500 deductible by the participant and will cover medical bills up to $100,000.

Please note that the accident medical insurance coverage does NOT include disability Insurance or Loss of Income coverage. Further, any and all claimants will be required to complete all claim forms and provide copies of all medical records. NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, PARTICIPATION IN THE BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE IS AT THE PARTICIPANT’S SOLE RISK.  For more information regarding the specific coverage provided for your injury, please email the completed medical claim forms and any medical bills to info@brutalfitnesschallenge.net.

 

TEAMS

IS THIS AN INDIVIDUAL OR TEAM EVENT?

You can go it alone, create a team, or join a team.

 

HOW DO I CREATE A TEAM IF I AM ALREADY REGISTERED?

CONTACT US with your name, conformation number, email address, and the name of your team. We will add your team name to the Team Participant section of the registration form. Once your team name has been added your teammates can register themselves for the Event. Be sure your teammates sign up for the same wave time you signed up for, and select your Team Name in the Team Participant section of the form. If you password protected your Team Name, please share it with your teammates. Each time someone joins your team, you will be notified by email. Only you, the Team Captain, can make changes to the your Team Registration. Any transfer of events by the Captain will encompass the entire registered team. 

 

CAN I JOIN A TEAM AFTER I'VE ALREADY SIGNED UP?

Absolutely!!! All you would need is permission from the Team Captain to be a part of his or her team. If he or she approves of you being on the team the Captain will give you the Team Name and Password. CONTACT US  with that information and your Conformation Number and once we confirm the information we will try to accommodate your request. If there is space available in the Team's Scheduled Wave Start Time you will be added to the team. If the Team's Wave Start Time is full we will have to put you in a Wave Time that has the availability.

 

WHAT IF I DON’T SEE MY TEAM LISTED DURING REGISTRATION?

If you do not see your team listed select "Create Team" and enter the Team Name, Team Captain, and Password. Once you have completed that continue filling out the rest of the form. If you continue to experience problems click CONTACT US, and we will gladly assist you.   

 

CAN MY TEAMMATES AND I ATTEND A BRUTAL FITNESS WORKOUT TOGETHER?

CAN WE ADD PEOPLE TO OUR TEAM AFTER INITIAL REGISTRATION?

Yes. Adding people to your team is always encouraged. Please click HERE and scroll down to "Team Management" for more information. If you experience any problems please CONTACT US.

 

CAN TEAM MEMBERS START AT DIFFERENT TIMES?

Team members will be put into the same wave. If you have a team member(s) that wants to start at a different time make sure that wave has the availability.

 

IF I REGISTERED AS AN INDIVIDUAL CAN I JOIN A TEAM THAT ALREADY EXISTS?

Absolutely, Inform the Team Captain that you would like to be on his or her team. If the Team Captain approves he or she will give you the Team Name and Password. CONTACT US with that information and your Conformation Number and once we confirm the information we will try to accommodate your request. If there is space available in the Team's Scheduled Wave Start Time you will be added to the team. If the Team's Wave Start Time is full we will have to put you in a Wave Time that has the availability.

 

IS THERE A WAY FOR ME TO INVITE OTHERS TO JOIN MY TEAM?

MY BUDDIES AND I REGISTERED AS INDIVIDUALS CAN WE PUT A TEAM TOGETHER?

Most Definitely you and your buddies can form a team!!! One of you will have to take the role of captain and manage the team. Once that has been establish CONTACT US with the Names, Conformation Numbers, and Wave Start Times. Once we confirm the information we will try to accommodate your preferred Wave Start Time. If your preferred Wave Start Time is full we will have to put your team in a Wave Time that has the availability. 

 

HOW CAN I JOIN A TEAM?

You can join a team by asking any captain of a team for permission to join his or her team. Be sure the Captain gives you the Team Name and Password. CONTACT US with that information and your Conformation Number and once we confirm the information we will try to accommodate your request. If there is space available in the Team's Scheduled Wave Start Time you will be added to the team. If the Team's Wave Start Time is full we will have to put you in a Wave Time that has the availability. 

 

 

SATURDAY IS SOLD OUT CAN MY TEAM MEMBER(S) STILL SIGN UP FOR SUNDAY AND BE WITH US ON SATURDAY?

Regrettably we can not accommodate that request. Once a day is sold out we can not add any more participants for that day.

PRE-CHALLENGE PACKET PICK-UP

SHOULD I EXPECT ANYTHING PRIOR TO THE CHALLENGE?

Yes, about 1 to 2 weeks before the event you can expect to receive an email confirming your registration, important updates as the event approaches, and a Pre-Challenge Packet Pick-Up location, if there is going to be one.

 

WHAT IS A PRE-CHALLENGE PACKET PICK-UP?

A Pre-Challenge Packet Pick-Up is where you will turn in your signed Participant Waiver and receive your BIB Number along with the rest of the goodies we will have for you. If there is a Pre-Challenge Packet Pick-Up the time is normally from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. at a stated location. Keep checking the "REGISTRATION PAGE" under "PACKET PICK-UP" as your challenge gets closer to find out if a Pre-Challenge Packet Pick-Up location has been determined. We will also send out an email if a location is determined.

 

WILL THERE BE A PRE-CHALLENGE PACKET PICK-UP?

We try our utmost to have a Pre-Challenge Packet Pick-Up. If we have one, we highly encourage you to take advantage of it in order to avoid any lines at the Registration Booth on the day of the challenge. Any Pre-Challenge Packet Pick-Up will be posted on the "REGISTRATION PAGE" under "PACKET PICK-UP", and we will send out an email to participants 1 to 2 weeks before the event if a location is determined. You'll need to bring your Government Issued ID, Signed Participant Waiver Form, and a copy of your confirmation email in order to get your challenge packet. If you signed up using the First Responders, LEO, or College Student BFC codes, you MUST bring your valid ID or a $35 surcharge will be applied to your form of payment.

 

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF PRE-CHALLENGE PACKET PICK-UP?

You can avoid the long lines on the day of the challenge, you can spend the extra time you saved meeting and talking with your fellow challengers, and there may be sponsors at the Pre-Challenge Packet Pick-Up with free stuff or special offers. The Pre-Challenge Packet Pick-Up is typically laid back and you can ask any question(s) you might have without the hurrying up and commotion of challenge day.

 

CAN SOMEONE ELSE PICK UP MY CHALLENGE PACKET AT THE PRE CHALLENGE PACKET PICK-UP?

Unfortunately the participant is the only one who can pick up their challenge packet. You will need to bring your Government Issued ID, Signed Participant Waiver Form, and a copy of your confirmation email. Let us reiterate that you WILL NOT be able to pick up any packets for your teammates, your best friend, or even family members. In other words each participant is responsible for his or her challenge packet. There will be No Exceptions.

 

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY CHALLENGE PACKET?

Each packet will have your BIB Number, Chip Timer, Participant T-Shirt, and Other Goodies. Finisher medals and T-Shirts are only for Finishers and will be handed out when you cross the Finish Line.

 

CAN I PICK UP MY CHALLENGE PACKET ON THE DAY OF THE CHALLENGE?

Yes, you can always pick up your packet on the day of the challenge. Please do not forget to bring your Government Issued ID, Signed Participant Waiver Form, and a copy of your confirmation email with you to help speed up the process. Try to arrive at least a 90 minutes before your scheduled wave time.

CHALLENGE DAY

WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?

Sunshine, rain, snow, or extreme heat our participants must still compete. The only thing that will stop our Brutality is GOD’S ACTS OF REALITIES, such as hail, lighting storms, hurricanes, blizzards, tornadoes, floods, etc. If there's severe weather on Saturday we will look into moving challengers to Sunday. If that does not work and we have to cancel do to any ACT OF GOD we will send an email blast to each participant, make an announcement on our site, and post announcements on all our social media outlets.

 

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Try to arrive at the challenge 90 minutes prior to the start of your wave. That will allow you enough time to park, check-in, hydrate, stretch, calm your nerves, and make it to the starting line 15 minutes before your wave is released. Missing your wave at a sold-out event will cause you to miss participating in the challenge.

 

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE?

(1) IDENTIFICATION (ID): We stress this EMPHATICALLY, you MUST bring your Government Issued Photo ID, Signed Participant Waiver Form, and email confirmation. If you or your child does not have your Government Issued Photo ID, you must still provide proof of identity and verification of age. For identity we will accept LEGIBLE photocopies of your: Drivers License, Passport, LEO , First Responder, or Student ID. For the age verification of a child we will accept a LEGIBLE photocopy of their Birth Certificate (2) FOR THE FEET: Cross training or trail running shoes. No cleats, because cleats have no traction on solid surfaces and that can be dangerous for you and the other participants. (3) FOR THE BODY: Wear your normal workout attire or any outfit you are comfortable in such as; triathlon gear, bikini, compressions shorts, marathon gear, trunks, cat suit, costume, lycra, spelunking gear, or tiara. We suggest you bring a change of clothes if you plan on enjoying the post party. (4) HYDRATION: We will provide water on the course as well as at the finish line, but we don't provide water in the Commemoration areas. You will have to purchase your beverages within those areas, but you can bring your own non-glass bottle of water. (5) POST ACTIVITIES: After defeating the challenge or it defeating you, hang out and enjoy the Brutal Commemoration!!! (6) LOOT: Bring cash for parking. Credit card acceptance will be available at the event. (7) THINGS THAT ARE PROHIBITED: Alcohol, Coolers, Glass Containers, Illegal Substances, Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia, Knives, Guns or Any Type of Weapons, Pets, Soliciting, Outside Food or Beverage, Illegal or Unauthorized Vending, Advertising of Any Kind, Outside Cans or Cups, Canopies, Chairs, Stools, Personalized Motor Vehicles, Charcoal, Propane, Gasoline Grills or Cooking Appliances, Fire or Flammable Lamps, Explosives or Fireworks, Skateboards, Scooters, or Strollers.

 

The Prohibited Items List will be strictly enforced. All bags and coolers are subject to inspection, and the Prohibited Items List is subject to change. Any violators of the List will be escorted off the premises by security.

 

WHAT WILL I NEED TO DO WHEN I ARRIVE AT THE BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE?

Check out these Challenge arrival tips:

  • Make sure you arrive 90 minutes prior to your wave time to ensure you have enough time to: Park, Check in, Check your gear, Calm Your Nerves, and Be at the Starting Line 15 minutes before your wave is released. Please leave as much as possible in your car.
  • All participants parking will be in dedicated lots around the area. Please follow event parking signs. Parking is usually $10 for cars $20 for RVs, and it is cash only please.
  • If you are a participant bring your Government-Issued Photo ID to the Registration Booth where you will get your packet for the Brutal Fitness Challenge. NO ID NO PACKET. Also note that you will be given a colored wristband that corresponds with your specific wave time. Wristbands must be worn and the correct color will only be allowed in the starting line corral. All others will be turned away. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • If you are a volunteer you will need your Government-Issued Photo ID before reporting to duty.
  • If you are a spectator you will need your Government-Issued Photo ID in order to receive your entry wristband.
  • If you signed up using the College Student, First Responder, or LEO promo codes, you MUST bring your valid ID or you'll have to pay a $35 fee in order to participant.
  • Credit card purchases will be possible for merchandise, food, and beverages at the event.

 

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO PARTICIPANT IN THE CHALLENGE?

You must be fourteen (14) years of age the day of the event. Participants that are under 18-year of age on the day of the event can participate with a parent or guardian chaperone. The parent or guardian chaperone will have to be at PACKET PICK-UP, with the child, and have a Participant Waiver form signed by the parent or guardian chaperone. Any participant caught with any underage participant on the course will be removed from the course and will not be given a refund. 

 

HOW WILL I NAVIGATE THE COURSE?

If you depend on your GPS for directions it can’t help you on the course. There will be signs, markers, or arrows along the course that will direct you to the next obstacle. Prepare yourself for the unfamiliar.

 

HOW ARE THE OBSTACLES INCORPORATED INTO THE COURSE?

The obstacles are placed at different intervals throughout the course. All obstacles must be completed as you battle your way through the course. If you chose not to attempt an obstacle you can replace it with our choice of exercises and it will count as a completed obstacle. Once you complete each obstacle and cross the finish line throw your hands up high, because you conquered the course.

 

WILL THERE BE A PLACE TO CHECK MY GEAR?

Absolutely!!! There will be a Gear Drop location for you to leave your gear while you are conquering the course. All information regarding the Gear Drop will be enclosed in your packets. Please note that there will be a $5 charge to check your gear in and bags are not provided. Participants are required to bring their own bag if they would like to leave a bag at Gear Drop. You will receive a gear check tag once the fee is paid and your gear is taken. The gear check tag is how you will reclaim your gear. There will be no re-checking of bags. Once you reclaim your bag a $5 fee will have to be paid in order to check it in again. The Brutal Fitness Challenge or the Venue will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.

 

WILL THERE BE MEDICAL HELP AT THE CHALLENGE?

Most Definitely Medical Help will be on site!!! Paramedic and EMT personnel will be at every event. If an injury accrues, we will immediately radio them for help. Our first aid booth will be clearly marked so you know where to go if needed. It’s like having your own Personal Emergency Team following you around.

 

IS THERE A TIME LIMIT?

There will not be a time limit. SIGN UP, SHOW UP, and DO NOT GIVE UP!

 

ARE PETS ALLOWED?

Absolutely no pets are allowed at any of the venues. Please leave your cats, snakes, frogs, dogs, etc at home.

 

CAN I RUN WITH AN IPOD OR ANY OTHER PORTABLE MUSIC DEVICE?

Ipods or any other portable music devices are strictly prohibited to ensure the safety of all participants.

 

ARE THERE BATHROOMS ON THE COURSE?

Yes, there are bathrooms at certain areas on the course.

 

WILL THERE BE WATER AND AID STATIONS AT THE CHALLENGE?

Yes, water and aid stations will be available, but we don't provide water to spectators or in The Brutal Fitness Commemoration area. Water and other beverages will be available for purchase from vendors, but you can also bring in your own non glass and non-alcoholic beverage.

 

WHAT DOES A BRUTAL SPECTATOR TICKET GET ME?

The Brutal Spectator ticket will give you access to the viewing areas around the course. You can watch your friends, co-workers, and loved ones battle their way through the course while you cheer them on, and get yourself some memorable Kodak moments. You can also enjoy all the other challenge perks like the Brutal Commemoration which features; Sports Activities, Music, Bounce Houses, Games, Food Vendors, Fun Fitness Activities, and plenty more which will make this one of the best times you can have. You may even want to buy a challenge entry ticket next time!!! Please don’t forget to bring a copy of your Government Issued ID and your Signed Spectator Waiver.

 

ARE BRUTAL SPECTATOR TICKETS REQUIRED FOR CHILDREN?

All Brutal Spectators thirteen (13) and under are free of charge. 

 

CAN I VOLUNTEER AT A BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE?

IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT FOR VOLUNTEERS?

All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. Please visit the “REGISTRATION PAGE” and click "VOLUNTEERS" to get all the details.

 

WHAT IF I MISS MY WAVE TIME?

If you happened to miss your wave, we'll make every noble effort to put you in another wave, but only if the wave is not sold-out. In the event you do miss your wave, you must go to the Registration Table and we'll see what we can do.

 

CAN I IGNORE AN OBSTACLE?

NO Obstacle Ignoring!! Before you consider ignoring an obstacle please try attempting it. If you still can not defeat the obstacle you can elect to do our 1263 EXERCISE in place of the obstacle(s) you want to ignore.

 

WHAT IS THE PENALTY FOR IGNORING AN OBSTACLE?

If you must ignore an obstacle before moving on you must perform the 1263 EXERCISE. This goes for any obstacle you choose to ignore.

 

WHAT IF I JUST DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING A PARTICULAR OBSTACLE?

NOT A PROBLEM. No one has to attempt any obstacle they are not comfortable with. Each participant should evaluate each obstacle and determine if your fitness level will enable you to complete it without injuring yourself or others. If you do not feel comfortable attempting an obstacle, you can do the 1263 EXERCISE as a replacement. That way it will not classify as ignoring the obstacle.

 

IS SWIMMING REQUIRED?

No swimming is required that is assuming you are at least 4 feet plus. If any obstacle has water it is usually no more than 4 feet deep. 

 

IS BARE FOOTING ALLOWED AT THE BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE?

Bare footing is NOT Recommended by the Brutal Fitness Challenge. If you want your feet to be bare, you will assume the risk of any injuries that may result from your decision to do so. The Brutal Fitness Challenge and the Venues can not guarantee that the course will be free of nails, broken branches, rocks, sharp objects, splinters, glass, knives, swords, power saws, etc.

 

CAN I SHOWER ONCE I FINISH THE CHALLENGE?

We do not have showers.

 

WHERE CAN I PARK ON EVENT DAY?

There will be an email sent out 2-3 days before the event explaining the parking. Parking information will also be on the "REGISTRATION PAGE".

 

IS THERE A CHARGE FOR PARKING?

There will be a cash only parking charge. $10 per car. Carpooling is definitely advised.

 

WILL I BE ABLE TO PARK MY BUS, RV, OR ANY LARGE VEHICLE?

Large vehicles are always welcome, but you will be required to pay the current parking charge for every standard car parking spot that your vehicle occupies.

 

HOW LONG WILL THE COURSE BE?

3-5 Miles.

BRUTAL COMMEMORATION

WILL THERE BE FOOD AT THE FINISH?

All participants will receive water, recovery smoothie, and fresh fruit when they cross the finish line. There will be additional food items available for purchase for participants and spectators, however gluten free food and beverages are not guaranteed.

 

WILL THERE BE BEER?

There may be vendors that sell beer. Participants and spectators 21 years of age or older will only be able to purchase beer. IDs will be checked before anyone is allowed to purchase beer.

 

WHEN DO I GET MY CUSTOM GOLD MEDAL?

Once you cross the Finish Line there will be plenty of people cheering their heads off for you, and that is when you get your Custom Gold Medal placed around your neck.

 

WHAT TIME DOES THE BRUTAL COMMEMORATION START AND ENDS?

The Brutal Commemoration jumps off approximately 9 A.M. ends at 3 P.M.

 

WHAT ELSE CAN I EXPECT AT THE BRUTAL COMMEMORATION?

We will have a variety of activities for our participants, volunteers, and spectators including, but not limited to:

Sports Activities, Music, Bounce Houses, Games, Food Vendors, Fun Fitness Activities, and plenty more. Be sure to bring yourself some extra cash for purchasing additional food and other items from our first-class vendors.
