AFTER THE FUN-RAISING COMES THE ACTUAL EVENT
THIS FUNDRAISER TRULY HAS SIGNIFICANT BENEFITS FOR THE CHILDREN, SCHOOL, AND COMMUNITY. It truly aligns the sectors and place the child at the center. It responds to the call for greater alignment, integration, and collaboration between education and health to improve each child’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. We want to incorporate a framework to address the symbiotic relationship between learning and health.
The event itself will have a course for the adults and three age appropriate courses for the children 4-13 years of age. It will be held on a weekend so parents, family members, faculty, and community members can attend, cheer, wave homemade signs, and take pictures of the children conquering the obstacles. All students at the school are the GUESTS OF HONOR whether they have a team representing them or not.
The main obstacle course will be for the adults. Everyone that crosses the finish line on their respective course will receive a custom medal along with a few other goodies. The weekend will be full of high-energy and enthusiasm from students, teachers, community members, and of course the BFC Team Members.
We want to be the most inclusive fundraising option for your school. Our program can strengthen your school, promote the health and well-being of your students, and help them establish lifelong healthy behaviors. By sticking to the aligning of the sectors lifelong healthy behaviors can be better implemented. The fundraiser will definitely be an adventure for each student and climaxes in what we hope is an uplifting experience that is sure to make your highlight reel.
THE RESEARCH IS CRYSTAL CLEAR OUR KIDS NEED PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
Studies show children reduce their risk of developing Heart Disease, and perform Better Academically if they get Enough Physical Activity. That is why our fundraiser is geared around getting children physical activity so they will have a fighting chance against all Chronic Diseases and Environmental Assaults.
WHAT IS THE BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE FUNDRAISING PROGRAM?
This is a fundraiser with the sole purpose of helping our children understand the importance of being healthy in a FUN way. We start by making the fundraiser a Stress-Free All-Inclusive Package that will minimize the workload for the school, administration, teachers, volunteers, and parents. Our fundraiser is nothing like your common product sale fundraisers.
Parents will immediately see the value in the program, and will be excited to have family, friends, coworkers, etc. participating in it. Our fundraiser is a healthy lifestyle alternative that will unify children, families, and communities as they get involved in an event that will benefit all participants physically and their school academically and financially. Our fundraising event will encourage everyone involved to let loose, be active, and promote some FUN!
Basically, this is how the fundraiser works. Each student will get four adults to register for the Brutal Fitness Challenge. Those 4 adults will represent the child at the event. Once the promoting is over, we begin the fun fitness training for the adults and children that will help prepare, pump up, and motivate everyone for the event.
PROMOTING HEALTH AND FITNESS
Product sale fundraisers are the most common types of fundraisers used by schools, and they typically raise $500 to $2,500. The most common product sale fundraisers in schools involve selling chocolate/candy bars, cookie dough, pizza dough, gift wrap, magazines, and catalog products. Our fundraiser's common product is Health and Fitness for all involved.
Our fundraising program promotes health and fitness which we all know our children need. The program can be done quickly, it will exceed your fundraising needs, it requires no up-front money, and it is easy to understand and implement. Your school can profit 75% more than your best previous fundraiser. This is one of many reasons we hope your school will happily choose us year after year. Below are a few more reasons.
Generally parents and the community are going to participate because of the relationship they have with the child, and they would give even if they do not know about the school. In fact, the most important principle in fundraising is that PEOPLE GIVE TO PEOPLE THEY KNOW – it is all about the relationship!
BRUTAL FITNESS CHALLENGE FUN FITNESS TRAINING
Most children will not mind a daily dose of fitness as long as it's fun. Children need physical activity to build strength, strong bones, coordination, confidence, and to lay the groundwork for a healthy lifestyle. Through physical activities, children learn about sportsmanship, setting goals, meeting challenges, teamwork, and the value of practice.
Children who enjoy sports and exercise tend to stay active throughout their lives. And staying fit can improve how children do at school, build self-esteem, prevent obesity, and decrease the risk of serious illnesses such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease later in life.
Normally before we begin our first workout session we talk to the children to find out how much they know about their bodies. We talk about what kind of fitness activities they do at home, and we brainstorm about ways they can get their parents to continue to be involved in their fit quest. If you were to sit and listen to the children, you would be awe-struck by how inquisitive they are.
We found that children love role models. If they see someone cool, hip, and as full of energy as they are, they can relate to them better than someone who is not. Research shows that children that are introduced early to physical fitness are more apt to have a healthier lifestyle and excel in life.
We showcase different careers and focus on the importance of health and exercise with the children. Instead of just having speakers come talk about their careers, we incorporate people who work in the fields of health, nutrition, and wellness.
17 percent of all children and teenagers are obese, which is a three-fold increase over the past 30 years, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Obesity is defined as being at or above the 95th percentile for children of the same weight and sex.
